Love and Hate about your phone?

What things do you love and hate about your smart phone?

After 5 years I finally got a new phone! It's a Google Pixel 3A and what I love about it is the long battery life. I used to have a Samsung S lll which is a dinosaur but it did what it was supposed to do. Except for the battery life. It never had a good battery and I would buy a new one yearly.

What I don't like about this new phone is there is no notification light like on my last phone. I like looking across the room after coming inside from being out in the yard and seeing the notification light to know immediately if the message I received was from Facebook (green light), text (blue light) or WhatsApp (white light). Now I actually have to walk over to the phone to find out.

Yes notification light is a plus power and it allows us not to keep unlocking the phone for any notification. I own iPhone 8 and i love the simplicity and fluidity of the phone. It also doesn't have notification light but i am okay with it.

I am very average user and this phone meets my need.

I use an Apple iPhone XR. This is a list of the things I like and dislike about it.

Things I like:
  • Good battery life
  • Easy to use
  • Face ID to unlock
  • Integrates with medical tech I use
Things I dislike:
  • Limited capabilities, Apple doesn't allow some types on apps on the app store limiting what I can do with my iPhone.
  • Sometimes Face ID doesn't work as my case blocks one of the camera sensors
  • Bugs, there always seems to be some issue in iOS that breaks a workflow of mine
  • Safari, the only web browser on the iPhone is Safari, the "third party" web browser apps are all required to use Apple's WebKit Frame and cannot implement their own engine. In addition Safari gets an unfair boost as only Safari gets access to the Nitro JavaScript engine. You also cannot override default apps yet so even if a better browser existed you're forced to use Safari unless you scroll through your apps and select your preferred app.

I have a Galaxy S20 and it is a very good phone with a few tiny problems. I love the display on it (especially the 120Hz refresh rate) and the camera is awesome too. My main hate is the battery and the fact that the phone sometimes overheats.

I agree. The display is one of the best things about the S20. Videos look amazing on it and it creates a great browsing experience as well.

I love the iPhone is safe and easy to use. The only downfall is it's TOO safe that you can't download or install things onto, for example, music etc. You have to use the built-in iTunes etc.

I agree too much safe that iTunes is the way to make changes to our phone.

I have an iPhone 7+. The UI and speed are exceptional but I'm not a fan of the battery life. I even purchased a new battery not so long ago yet my battery life is awful.

iTunes is good but I hate having to be restricted to only using iOS apps but I guess it makes things safer for you.

Yeah, Apple phones are well known for having awful batteries after a while. I'm not sure how they are with newer devices but there was literally a court case about it that Apple lost.

@Ash

I think they are slightly increasing battery capacity with new phones and the battery life is good compared to old models
